Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

BeaverPlot ("the App") is operated by Glucoplate Inc., a Canadian corporation ("we" or "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it, and your choices. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other laws that apply.

2. What We Collect

  • Scans and projects: room scans are made on your device and your projects are stored there. The App doesn't ask for a name, email or account.
  • Exports: when you export to a format such as IFC, DXF or PDF, room dimensions and layout (not the raw LiDAR scan) are sent to our servers to create the file, and are deleted after a short time.
  • AI features: if you turn on AI Processing and use AI Reports or Home Inventory, the photos and notes you choose are sent to Google's Gemini AI to draft the report. We don't keep them after the draft is made. AI can make mistakes, so please check every draft.
  • Shared tours and reports: if you publish a 3D tour or share a report, the model, report and any photos in it are stored on our servers and can be opened by anyone with the link (and, for a report, the PIN). They stay until you delete them, or after a grace period once Pro ends.
  • Usage and device information: your IP address when the App talks to our servers, a random identifier for your installation, usage analytics and crash reports that aren't linked to a name or email, and signals from Apple that help us confirm requests come from the real App.
  • Purchases: handled by Apple and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, which uses a random identifier to know whether Pro is active. We don't receive card details.

If you measure a yard or site, the App may ask for your location to centre the map; it's used on your device and by Apple Maps, and we don't store it. The App doesn't ask for your contacts and is set up not to use advertising identifiers. Photos or notes you add may show other people or their homes, so please only share what you're entitled to.

3. Why We Use It

To create exports, drafts, tours and shared reports you ask for; to keep the App working, fix crashes and improve it; to protect our servers from abuse; to manage purchases; and to answer your requests and meet legal obligations. You can turn off AI Processing and usage analytics in Settings and keep using the rest of the App.

4. Who Receives It

Google (Gemini AI, Firebase analytics, crash reports and app checks), Railway and Cloudflare (our servers and file storage), Apple and RevenueCat (purchases), and anyone you send a tour or report link to. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to a new owner if the App is sold. We don't sell personal information or share it with advertisers.

5. How Long We Keep It

Projects stay on your device until you delete them or the App. Export data and AI inputs are kept only as long as needed to produce the result. Shared tours and reports stay until you delete them, or after a grace period once Pro ends. Our providers keep analytics and crash data for their usual periods.

6. Security

We use common measures such as encrypted connections. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee your data will never be accessed without permission.

7. Your Rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold, and withdraw your consent. In the EEA and the UK, Glucoplate Inc. is the controller: we rely on your consent for AI Processing and usage analytics, on providing the features you ask for, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the App stable and secure; you can also ask for a portable copy, restrict or object to processing, and complain to your local data protection authority. 8. International Transfers

We are based in Canada, and our providers may process data in other countries, including the United States, under safeguards they offer such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Age

The App is meant for people aged 18 and over. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy. Changes are posted here with a new date, and for a material change we will take reasonable steps to tell you in the App and may ask you to agree again.
